Jordi Alba: ”I am happy in Valencia”
Valencia winger Jordi Alba has once again reiterated that he is happy at the club and nothing has changed.Alba has been strongly linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona in recent months, but he insists his future lies with Valencia.
In an interview with Superdeporte, Alba said: ”I am very happy at Valencia. I have nothing new to say. I have always made it clear that I am happy as I am.”
”I am focused on being better every day than the last. Right now, I am a Valencia player. I am very happy and I just want to do well with this team.”
The 22 year-old Spaniard has become one of Valencia’s most important players this season and his impressive form has even earnt him a call-up to the senior Spanish national team. Alba is currently still in the progress of negotiating a new contract with Valencia, which would dampen all the speculation.
Alba was also asked about the possibility of winning trophies with Valencia.
He said: ”That is my desire, no doubt, but it is too early to talk about titles. There is much work to do, whether in Europe or the Copa Del Rey, not to mention th eleague.”
