Racing Have 72 Hours To Give Their ‘OK’ On Canales Move

Canales can make a return to Racing if they match Valencia’s offer but this is highly unlikely.

Many have been wondering what’s taking the club so long to announce the signing of Sergio Canales. What’s going on is that their are a lot of documents that need to be signed by three parties (Valencia, Real Madrid and Canales’ former club Racing Santander).

According to a clause in Canales’ contract when he first signed for Real Madrid in the case of Real Madrid accepting a transfer or loan offer from another club for the player the documents need to be sent to Racing Santander who will then decide whether or not they will match the offer and if they do the player will move to Racing. Super Deporte will say that Racing will not match Valencia’s offer as Sergio wants to move to Valencia, but it’s part of his contract and must happen.

Early this afternoon Llorente, Real Madrid and Sergio’s agent Antonio Mendoza began exchanging the documents so that once they are signed they can be sent to Racing in the quickest possible time so that the move can finalise as soon as possible.

    Hope that Racing are smart, and dont ruin this deal for us. He would be a very good player for us, not just now, but also the future.

    The bad thing: Racing are supposed to be another rich club in Spain, not as rich as Malaga bur certainly not in that poor financial state that they were before.
    Still hopeful to see Canales in Valencia before long.

      the indian guy ali ripped santander out of a few millions didnt pay wages for secound half of the season and no one can reach him.
      santander is now in the brink of not existing since there is no actual owner

    Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t one rich indian businessman bought Racing few months ago? Man, everything started complicating. I still hope that Canales will come to us.

    Yes they were bought my an Indian Business man who only added to their financial misery after an Australian firm (bank?) announced that he stole his money from them

    Anyone know anything about main sponsor for the upcoming season, starting to get sligthly worried about the income. And I would also like to buy a kit soon, but that would be just silly since the sponsor has not yet arived. And do anyone know if the Senyera shirt is going to be used in competitions? I love it so much!

      1- The club says that their not in a hurry to find a sponsor, though some reports (dunno how reliable they are) say that it’s going to be from the Arabian Gulf region.

      2- Senyera will be used in a champions league game

          Fly Emirates signed with Real Madrid, If it’s from Arabia it’ll be VCF Central !

    I hope after Canales, we can bring Pedro Leon next season 2012/2013. I’m a fan of the guy, although he’ll need to compete with Pablo. The guy is great especially in free kick shootings. Amazing.

      Why do we need a freekick taker? We have Tino, and Leon have moved to getafe on loan, with option to buy him for 8 mil. I belive fengouli shows great promise, and I may think that he can compete with Pablo for the rigthwing spot.

        Tino is almost injured. Mata is a good freekick taker, Leon would be an addition :-D He’s dangerous on the wing too. Anyhow, this is just a wish to see a brilliant valencia side, with many spanish talents. But why to buy when its extra to requirements, you’re right, and pablo is a very decent player.

        hahaha, I know this is a mockery, as we have lots of them. I think Parejo’s place should remain for Tino and Feghouli.

        Instead of Parejo we needed Pedro Leon to compete with Pablo, provided that Piatti stays in the middle or on the left. Canales is also extra by the way. However, that should be the strongest offensive body in La Liga if we have Bernat, Leon, and Canales !!!

    Nort take me wrong, I would love to see leon at our club, But I dont think it will happend this season atleast, so I just dont want to bring up my hopes. And I understand your guys is a bit worried about Parejos pre-season, but I belive he will be a key player for us in La Liga this year, just give him some time =)

    Why do people care if our team is mostly spanish or not? What does it matter all i care about is Wins. If you want a all spanish squad isnt that what national teams are 4.

    Well, its easier to build up the harmony in a squad where everyone understand eachother. If you look at Valencias transfer policy the most players we are scouthing are from spanish speaking contries, and from french speaking contries, and that is not random. We want player that easy can get bend in to a squad and easy can get into the squad harmony.
