Soldado In PSG’s Agenda

The Valencian isn’t PSG’s priority, but is liked by their sporting director Leonardo.

According to France Football Valencia striker Roberto Soldado is on the agenda of the French side to reinforce the club in January. The magazine said that Soldado isn’t the PSG’s first option but is liked by their Brazilian sporting director and former Valencia player Leonardo.

The report says that Valencia aren’t interested in selling the player but need money, and therefore could change their mind.

PSG could be willing to pay up to €30 million for the striker if they fail to sign Carlos Tévez from Manchester City, who the French side are competing with AC Milan for. But the Argentinian is getting closer to PSG as negotiations with the Italians aren’t progressing.

30 million? If we can find an adequate replacement I say sell!

    • Cile

That’s just it, an “adequate” replacement. I don’t know who Valencia could buy that wouldn’t be a risk of losing money. For that sum players like Damiao spring to mind but there’s a danger the new striker wouldn’t settle in so Valencia’d have a 30M flop on their hands. Soldado meanwhile looks like the perfect striker for Valencia at the moment.

    • Martijn

30 for Soldado definatly is good money and should be accepted.
But they should make it so he stays till summer so there is more time to adjust the team accordingly.

    • glowa

In this situation, in which we don’t have to sell players I say we should be like Porto.. raise the sum to the max, else go home.

      • Martijn

Youre wrong there: we do need to sell as there will still be 160 million worth of debt to clear.

        • glowa

Debt like that is average among top clubs. It can be eliminated easily by ticket sales, advertising, decent marketing.

          • Martijn

No it cant, we still spend more money then we have as income on a yearly basis. The last few years we have converted this in a profit by selling players.
So we either need to sell players to fill that gap or we need to sell players to lower salaries and close the gap that way. Either we well still be a selling club.

          • glowa

Well, could you point me to some sources you’re getting these infos about our annual incomes and expenses? thx

          • Martijn

It was in that article on the swiss ramble a while ago.

  • Bart

at least 40m, he is still young and a very important player for Valencia. PSG has a lot of money so we must profit from that and it will cost Valencia also money to find a worthy replacement. But i hope he stays in valencia!

I say “SELL and buy Cavani or Lavezzi or maybe Torres

    • http://cuongphan.blogg.se Cuong

Really? Torres? Already comment of the day haha..

  • http://www.valenciacf.com/es/ElEquipo/ Giel

Back off. Soldado will stay, he’s way too important for us and no bid should be accepted. Because you just can’t find a replacement that fast. Soldado is a Valencian, he’s a great captain and a great person. He will stay, I’m sure of that. PSG is crap anyway.

  • Jafar

I hope they get Tevez, honestly I would sell him for 30.
Even though 30 is a lot of money I much rather keep him.

  • VBF

fuck you PSG you took gamero now you want soldado find your own talents

  • EsP

I dont think Valencia would sell anyway. And I dont belive Soldado would be intrested in a move. He is one of the main pieces to build a new Valencia side. I belive Soldado will stay with us for a while, if not a really big side are getting intrested. PSG havent proved anything yet.

  • Chris VCF

30 million and gameiro otherwise they can fuck off :D

  • Jafar

Only if they give us Pauleta at his prime I would accept that.

    • Cile

Lol, I’d ratjer take Papin at his best if you’re doing business with past stars. Then again none would compare with Villa of the past.

    • Jafar

Basically how Barca re being hypocrites and steal youth players from other teams such as Valencia and so on

      • D

Thanks! How many good players from Valencia have they stolen so far? Some from the first team?

        • Cile

It’s about stealing players for La Masia. They’ve recently signed one 14-year old kid from Valencia and the Valencia based newspapers are just showing how much of “home products” those La Masia graduates actually are. I believe that Llorente’s supposedly also thinking of taking action against Barcelona and report them. Wouldn’t mind, they’re a clubs of red and blue scumbags.

          • D

Thanks! Do you know the name of this player?

          • Valencia4life

Alex Grimaldo. It is the 16 year old who has recently debuted in the Segunda. A leftback who was bought from us-.-!

          • Cile

The player in question this time is Pedro Chirivella.

  • Stanley

    Fuck off, PSG.

  • ValenciaFC

forget it barcelona PACO WILL STAY

    • Jafar

I’m sure they want him on loan and brainwash him into staying.
      Ain’t going to happen.

  • Fadi

Llorente, Vazquez, and Emery were never greedy money seekers on the expense of sporting matters. They are always patient with selling players, and they study their decisions. It’s so clear Valencia will not accept in the middle of the season with some chance in the Europa League. They will offer them Miguel, Rocardo Costa, and Parejo instead :P

    • Cile

Parejo won’t leave, that much is certain. Emery wants him to stay and he wants to stay as well.

      • Fadi

        What bad luck ;-)

        • http://www.valenciacf.com/es/ElEquipo/ Giel

Why the hell do you want to sell Parejo? He’s has a LOT of potential, he has a lot of talent. Just be patient, this is the motivation that got us in debts in the first place. Trying to buy players who are great from day one. That’s not how it works, I’m glad Valencia realised this since Emery, Braulio and Llorente came in.

  • Ario

sell for 30 and buy tevez on the cheap :)

    • Jafar

      And his wages?
Even if comes on free we can’t afford him.

    • Cile

Even if Tevez was to come on the cheap, the way he conducts he’s a signing that’d last 1 year and a half. And you don’t throw 30M to sign a guy for that period of time.

    • Stanley

Even if Tevez wants to come and City accept that offer, I’m not so sure I want a narcissist of his magnitude at my club. I’ll have Soldado.

  • http://www.football-bear.com shraga

one of the promising players’ though I think he’ll succeed only in spain.

  • don

WE are finally in a possession to build a big side, signing Van der Wiel but then selling SOldado is like making one step forward n 3 steps back and a top class forward like soldado is gonna be hard to find, there isnt an abundance out there right now

    • don

lol @ possession, i meant position

  • CF@Hong Kong

    30m is ok,or 20m + gameiro

    • Cile

They wouldn’t offer Gameiro, they’re not dumb. Probably would offer Hoarau and Erding and I believe it’s safe to say that Valencia ain’t dumb either. Those two aren’t good enough.
Besides, why would you want Gameiro? Soldado’s a Valencianista, Gameiro meanwhile rejected Valencia in the summer.

  • simon

Though I wonder if Soldado would want to sign for PSG? I think his ambitions are higher, especially considering the fact that he is 26 years old. I he moves his next move will probably be to a bigger club with a good potential to win one of the major leagues and CL (e.g. Real, Barca, Man Utd, Man city, Chelsea, Milan), even though I do not would want him to be sold to barca or real. And if he would want to move to such club the he has to start scoring the big games.
