Valencia has reached an agreement with Bankia to allow them to resume work on the Nou Mestalla, which will be completed in an estimated period off 2 years. The key point of the agreement was that Bankia are given the land of the old Mestalla. The agreement has ensure Valencia a stable financial condition in the short term future.
President Manuel Llorente has said: “It’s a landmark agreement, this will make all those hundrand thousands Valencia fans knowing that their team will play in one of the best stadiums in the Europe. This new stadium will help Valencia take a leap in quality in all areas.”
The Valencia president also wanted to thank Bankia for it’s strong commitment to the club and said: “I want to thank Bankia a lot, they’ve worked make a better future for the club and Valencia. It was a joint effort of several months and has finally been achieved through the collaboration of both parties.”
