FC Barcelona 5-1 Valencia CF
It was only nine minutes until Valencia scored when Pablo Piatti finished a cross from Feghouli.
Barcelona knew the significance of the game, because Real Madrid wes getting further and further away. The home side began to pass the ball around, and it was soon to be over for Los Che.
In the 21st minute, Pedro came in the side to assist to Messi who scored right through Diego Alves’ legs. Miguel got injured in the process and Ricardo Costa came in to replace him.
Abidal gave Messi a good pass in the 27th minute, in which Messi hit the post, and it seemed like Diego Alves had it but it slipped out of his hands and Messi scored right then.
Valencia held off many other goal attempts, but could not keep the ball for more than five seconds. The third for Barcelona came when Tello’s shot was blocked and Messi scored the rebound.
Messi did not stop, and got a break away where he was alone with Diego Alves and chipped it over the Brazilian.
Xavi scored the last after lobbing the ball over Diego Alves in stoppage time.
A disappointing night for Valencia fans. After going in the lead, there should of been more effort going forward to stop the onslaught of goals.
